Hi, I’m Abby,

A seasoned oncology nurse with a passion for providing support to individuals navigating the challenging journey of cancer. With over a decade of specialized experience in hematology/oncology and stem cell transplant care, I bring a unique blend of medical expertise and compassionate guidance to my practice.

In addition to my nursing work, I am a board certified nurse coach dedicated to empowering individuals affected by cancer. I understand, and have witnessed firsthand, the immense challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis and believe in the transformative power of having a supportive ally by your side. Whether you're seeking guidance within your treatment plan, coping strategies, or simply someone to listen, I'm here to provide a safe space and tailored support to meet your needs.

If you or a loved one could benefit from personalized guidance and encouragement on your cancer journey, I invite you to reach out for a complimentary consultation. Together, we can navigate this path with strength, resilience, and hope.

What is a nurse coach?

Because of the structure of our current healthcare system, with high nurse-to-patient ratios and insurance reimbursement imposing time limits on provider visits, there are often gaps left in patient care. A nurse coach can fill those gaps. Conventional treatment permits enough time to treat the illness, but not enough time to heal the person. A nurse coach is able to come alongside you, assisting you as you face the difficulties of treatment, giving you space to process your emotions, and supporting you as you look forward to the future.

A Nurse

  • A nurse can help you understand your health, diagnosis, and treatment plan.

  • A nurse can translate medical language and help you anticipate what to expect throughout care.

  • A nurse can support you in advocating for yourself and navigating the healthcare system.

  • An oncology nurse brings familiarity with cancer care, its treatments, and its realities—so you don’t have to explain or translate your experience.

A Coach

  • A coach can help you build routines that make new habits sustainable.

  • A coach offers ongoing support and accountability over time.

  • A coach helps you identify what motivates you so you can follow through with your care.

  • A coach supports you in recognizing and moving past unhelpful beliefs and patterns.

  • A coach helps you define what health looks like for you.

Health is not one-size-fits-all. Health is not only physical, it’s mental, emotional, spiritual, financial, industrial, relational, cultural. What does being healthy look like for you?

A nurse coach can help you set achievable goals for your life, during and after treatment. A nurse coach can empower you to put yourself first and see how it will uplift and positively impact those around you.

Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” A nurse can help you know better, a coach can help you do better.
